Hi I'm Jeff Smith and I've been creating images for the past 35 years starting with documentary work on medium-format film, and then moving to 35mm film to shoot sports. I currently shoot high-resolution 35mm and medium-format digital and film, and my work is suitable for almost any type of project including framed prints, social media, large displays, books, publishing or websites.
I'm originally from North Atlanta, studied photography at Emory University and now live and work in Sandy/Cottonwood Heights. I'm available for both still photography assignments as well as custom commissions and projects.
I try to tell the story of people, objects and places doing what they do best by capturing the essence of the story, the depth of spaces, and the detail in the objects of everyday life. I try to make the most of available light, context, detail and materials on every shoot.
